NTSD 2015/1 RELEASE

NTSD 2015 0.1 Release!



Hey guys! Before download this game keep in mind: This is a restart for this game. This release have only 5 chars with one or two special moves. The objective of this release is show a new style of battle, more like 2.4 but with small differences.

Here a quick move list for all chars:

AJ: Quick Hit
AD: Active Kawarimi
J after punch: Break defense move
D after punch: Active Kawarimi
DD: Special Defense

Alright guys don't worry I'll re-upload this on MediaFire.

I tested the game and its pretty good I must say! Due to my lack of interest in Naruto I didn't test it much.. :/
Anyway I'll update the thread to make it better looking.. also why isn't there Movelist? or Credits txt? that is needed imo..

I am running Windows 8.1, it works without any problems. Update to 8.1, its free.

Glad you're back samael. I've never throught you would come back.

As a first release it's very good. Few bugs, few things I dislike, but most of it is really nice. I miss Bee and Raikage, but as you said 0.4 was buggy as hell, so if you must put them away for now to make game better I'm ok with that.

And you need a name for it. NTSD 2015 is not cool, neither NTSD 3. NTSD II - Second Try doesn't sound interesting. NTSD Relaunch - NTSD R Very Happy

Put Yamato uses Sp.Def (DD) stand near by Kakashi using Sp.Def, too. You have "Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence" XD (if only Yamato and Kakashi are other team each other)

The game is nice. It's good start for next versions. But I have a bug
when I'm in the main menu the selection is wrong and do one step higher
select.

OH! Now it's make perfect sense. It's like Jirayia book "The Legend of the Gutsy Ninja" (I don't remember correct name). The first chapter about Jirayia was great, second with Nagato was broken and full of mistakes, but the third (Naruto) was a masterpiece that cover previous disaster Very Happy

Magnificent story Laughing Amazing how it fits to NTSD. So samael, what do you say? NTSD 3 v0.1? Isn't it sensationally?

I have this issue with my laptop as well although in my desktop it works fine.
I googled it but the info seems to be quite repetitive: update your visual c++ packages, update your microsoft .NET framework, type "sfc /scannow" in the command prompt with administrator rights, tyoe "chkdsk /F" in the command prompt with admin rights.

None of these worked for me but it might work for you.

I just wanted to note that DD doesn't seem to be the combination of special defense. In air, though, it does teleport you few pixels to the front.
Gara had a move that seemed like special defense; its combination was JD (I think).

Alrighty I did some testing today, the game seemed good, but its still very buggy (I thought you started on fresh LF2 instead you started with a fresh copy of NTSD II instead)--

  • Naruto's DD cause a ridiculous amount of damage in total, its more of a huge attack than a special defence.
  • Press attack and HOLD will make our characters do the weapon throw action, doing it near the opponent will hit him and he'll jump away backwards. Weird.
  • Naruto's Rasengan jump seems un-natural for some reason.
  • Yamato can get stuck in DEFEND frames when we press D^A.
  • Yamato's D>J sometimes appear beneath opponent, sometimes right in front of us, its bugged. Also its supposed to throw opponents upwards but instead it pushes opponents upward AS WELL AS forward which again seems un-natural.
  • Sasuke's run attack's itr range is very low along with his jump attack.
  • Sasuke's Chidori can be hit instantly while Naruto's rasengan takes quite sometime to charge up. Not fair :/
  • Sharingan doesn't work like it should be, it keeps reversing every now and then, like pressing ">" in sharingan the character walks back and forth.

I think that's it... Its still quite buggy because you didn't really restart it which I expected you to. Still entertaining game!

I was thinking about creat a barrier of clones. But i could not make it looks good in game -.-"
Naruto use a movement called "Uzumaki formation" os something like this. That was the best idea that i had for naruto defense.

The idea is make the char push back the opponent. But read this gave me one idea while i was eating my breakfast. Thanks fot it man... XD

This is because the opponent is out of the range. It will follow only inside the range of 500px around Yamato.

I was thinking about do not put sharingan in this release because its not ready (Just like the clash moves). But since i' ve showed it in progress.... Anyway...

All the chars are made from a base made by me. It looks like i'm using things from NTSDII maybe because the sprites are the same and some movements don't need to be changes. But if you look closely you will not see some small problems present in any older version (like the slide problem in platform). The reaction after punch have the right time now, chars can fall from platform when keep Jump pressed, and some other stuffs that wasn't present in older versions.
